As we all know, life can take us in many directions. For many of our clients, this means that their loved ones are living abroad and they only get to see each other very occasionally.
That was the case for Irene, who lives in a retirement village in Fish Hoek and gets weekly visits from Val, a long time Carer at the CareCompany.
We got this letter from Irene’s family after Irene suffered a mild stroke and had to be hospitalised. They wanted to express their appreciation for the peace of mind they had knowing that their mom had someone who cared about her on hand when she needed it most.
Dear CareCompany,
Val has been visiting my mum-in-law, Irene, for a couple of months now. We live in Hong Kong and met Val for the first time when we last visited.
Having seen the way the relationship has grown between them, and how much good it has done our mother, we wanted to formally pass on our gratitude and thanks for the warmth, kindness and empathy that Val has shown to Irene through everything that has happened.
Both Irene's sons work abroad, so having someone trustworthy that takes an real interest in her wellbeing and takes care of the practical things is very important to us. We appreciate everything about how Val goes about doing what she does!
Regards and thanks, Barbara and Gavin
