Like a Bridge over Troubled Water

It’s no secret that Cape Town could be heading towards a real crisis over the current drought.

While we haven’t reached #DayZero yet, there’s a strong possibility that the taps will be turned off before the start of winter. At the CareCompany, we take our commitment to the Elderly seriously and are leading community efforts to make sure that those who need some help get it.

Queuing in the heat for water, as well as heavy-lifting and transporting significant amounts of water, are the key challenges for those who are perhaps not as strong as they used to be. We’re tackling these issues by partnering with a Limpopo-based spring water supplier to bring water to the doorstep in our community.

We will deliver a case of 4 x 5L bottled spring water anywhere in the South Peninsula for R90.

We want your help in reaching those who can’t or won’t be ready to manage if the City’s water crisis plan goes into action so please share this info with your neighbours and loved ones. If you already have a plan for your water supply, consider sponsoring water for the disadvantaged Elderly living in your neighbourhood.

We will be limiting orders to one case per person until everyone who needs a delivery has had one. By the end of March, we hope that each person will be able to get at least 4 cases of 4 5L bottles which is a 30-day supply of drinking and cooking water for one person. At times like these water is becoming a scarce commodity, so we cannot guarantee future supply. Don’t wait until the last minute to start building a reserve of water and start thinking about a Plan B just in case.

The CareCompany is not selling the water for profit – per case the water costs us R70, and we add on a flat R15 delivery fee for the driver and a R5 donation to our Community Appeal Fund to help us continue to care for those in need.

We’re here for you.
